Dowlandの作品の中で珍しく、あまり悲観的ではない歌です。初夏の変わりやすい天気と瑞々しい空気を、愛する女性に擬えて歌っています。後半は、夏に向けてぐんぐん伸びる植物のような音型ですね。リュートも歌を追いかけるようにぐいぐい伸びているのを聴きながら、楽しんで練習してください。
